The dance “Surrendering in a Champion’s World” was created as an image-laden exploration of narcissism and competition in contemporary culture. The work is highly visual and provocative, incorporating all the theatrical elements: choreography, set design, lighting, and costumes. The piece contained two time-lines at once: contemporary society and that which is ancient archetypal or timeless.
